У статті висвітлено особливості патогенезу, патоморфології, клініки, перебігу та лікування серцево-судинної патології в осіб похилого і старечого віку. Так як і в більшості країн світу, в Україні населення стрімко старіє. Тому все більшої актуальності набуває геріатрична медицина. Знання геріатричних аспектів кардіології — важливий елемент знань сучасного лікаря, покликаного на практиці застосовувати клінічні, соціальні та профілактично-лікувальні підходи.

The article highlights the features of pathogenesis, pathomorphology, clinic, course and treatment of cardiovascular pathology in the elderly and senile. As in most countries of the world, in Ukraine the population is rapidly aging. Therefore, geriatric medicine is becoming increasingly important. Knowledge of geriatric aspects of cardiology is an important element of knowledge of a modern doctor, called to practice clinical, social and preventive treatment approaches.
