Анотація. Оцінено фізичний розвиток 7-річних та 11-річних школярів і школярок загальноосвітніх навчальних закладів м. Львова. Установлено, що більшість обстежених дітей мала середній зріст – 68,9 % (7-річні), 74,5 % (11-річні). Гармонійний фізичний розвиток мали 64,8 % 7-річних та 56,3 % 11-річних обстежених школярів і школярок. З-поміж обстежених 7-річних та 11-річних дітей дефіцит маси тіла виявлено у 4,8 % та 16,9 % 
школярів і школярок відповідно, надлишок маси тіла у 4,4 % та 14,7 % школярів і школярок відповідно. Кількість дітей 11-річного віку із відхиленнями фізичного розвитку утричі перевищує кількість 7-річних дітей, що може бути зумовлено більш тривалим впливом на них 
шкільного середовища.

Abstract. The physical development of 7-year-old and 11-year-old schoolchildren of secondary educational institutions in Lviv was assessed. It was found that the majority of the examined children were of average height – 68.9% (7-year-olds), 74.5% (11-year-olds). 64.8% of 7-year-old and 56.3% of 11-year-old surveyed schoolchildren had harmonious physical development. Among the surveyed 7-year-old and 11-year-old children, underweight was detected in 4.8% and 16.9% of schoolchildren, respectively, and overweight in 4.4% and 14.7% of schoolchildren, respectively. The number of 11-year-old children with deviations of physical development is three times higher than the number of 7-year-old children, which may be due to the longer-term impact of the school environment on them.
