Анотація

Мета дослідження – проаналізувати історію створення й організацію роботи кафедри терапевтичної стоматології Львівського національного медичного університету імені Данила Галицького, наукові здобутки, інформацію про співробітників, які доклали зусиль для підготовки науково-педагогічних кадрів і кваліфікованих лікарів. Методи дослідження. Використано бібліографічний метод вивчення бібліотечних каталогів; джерела з історії медицини, педагогіки; хронологічний метод, що дав змогу проаналізувати особливості становлення й розвитку медичної освіти в різні історичні періоди. Наукова новизна. Досліджено історію становлення розвитку терапевтичної стоматологічної освіти та вплив на цей процес різних історичних подій. Встановлено етапи в реформуванні вищої медичної освіти, уточнено відомості про професійну та наукову діяльність фундаторів-стоматологів цього періоду. Висвітлено особливості організації навчального процесу, формування медичних кадрів у різні періоди становлення кафедри терапевтичної стоматології як базової дисципліни стоматологічної освіти в медичному навчальному закладі на кожному етапі освітньої політики, що дає можливість правильно оцінювати позитивні і негативні тенденції формування досвіду для створення сучасних моделей функціонування національної освіти. Висновки. Створення сучасних наукових, освітніх центрів підготовки висококваліфікованих фахівців сприяє прогресу медичної галузі, підвищує рівень надання стоматологічної допомоги.

Abstract
The objective of the study is to analyze the history of the establishment and the organization of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry at the Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University. This includes an examination of its scientific achievements and information regarding staff members who contributed to the training of academic and teaching personnel as well as qualified physicians. Research methods. The study employs the bibliographic method to examine library catalogs, as well as sources on the history of medicine and pedagogy. A chronological method was also used, enabling an analysis of the specific features of the formation and development of medical education across various historical periods. Scientific novelty. The study explores the history of the development of education in therapeutic dentistry and the impact of various historical events on this process. It identifies key stages in the reform of higher medical education and clarifies details concerning the professional and scientific activities of the founding dentists of that era. The study highlights the organization of the educational process and the training of medical personnel during different stages of the Department’s development—viewing therapeutic dentistry as a core discipline within dental education—across various phases of educational policy. This analysis allows for an accurate assessment of both positive and negative trends, providing insights that can inform the creation of modern models for the national education system. Conclusions. The establishment of modern scientific and educational centers for training highly qualified specialists fosters progress in the medical sector and enhances the quality of dental care.
