The article describes the case of a septic form of a listeriosis with multiple abscesses of the liver. Given clinical example illustrates the severe course of listeriosis with the development of septicemia and lesions of internal organs. Despite the adequate etiotropic and pathogenetic treatment for listeriosis meningoencephalitis, there was a lethal outcome of the disease. The polymorphism of clinical manifestations and the range of course variants often make it difficult to diagnose listeriosis, which in turn requires a more thorough examination of patients as well as carrying out all relevant bacteriological and serological tests.
ABSTRACT
The aim: Was a trial of intradermal immunization with native autoleukocytes as a curative vaccine.
Materials and methods: Thus, 3-shot series vaccination by means of intradermal injection of autoleukocytes with 30 – 40 days interval was conducted for patients who, in spite of continuous (at least 2 years) therapy with nucleotide analogue, experienced HBV DNA reproduction. For this procedure, 80 – 100 ml of a patient’s heparinized venous blood was being precipitated at the temperature 37о С for 120 – 140 minutes, after blood plasma was being centrifuged at 450g for 8 minutes. The precipitate was resuspended in 1 – 1.5 ml of blood serum and injected intradermally in the region of the back.
Results: Viral load decreased in all patients even after single immunization; it was possible to achieve a negative result by ultrasensitive PCR method in 23.33% of patients in the group of patients who did not respond adequately to antiviral therapy.
Conclusions: In patients with chronic hepatitis B, intradermal immunization with autoleukocytes has a significant impact on intensity of virus replication. It is confirmed by a considerable reduction of DNA HBV amount in patients, in whom antiviral therapy was stopped before immunization

The aim: Analyzing literature sources, to assess possibilities of using the method of intradermal immunization with native autoleukocytes to treat different diseases, to investigate the areas of usage, efficacy and expediency of the technique in clinical practice.
Materials and methods: Analysis of literature sources associated with intradermal immunization with native autoleukocytes.
Conclusions: The possibilities of using the method of intradermal immunization with native autoleukocytes in the treatment of various diseases are considered in the literature review. Intradermal immunization with autoleukocytes is one of the methods of personalized medicine. The application of the method results in normalization of the immune system condition as well as suppression of autoimmune and inflammatory processes. It also reduces the synthesis of
pro-inflammatory cytokines and strengthens cellular antiviral immunity in a number of viral infections. It is proved, in particular, that the method reduces the synthesis of cryoglobulins, the formation of antithyroid antibodies, normalizes the level of tumor necrosis factor alpha, as well as reduces extrahepatic manifestations of chronic hepatitis and increases the effectiveness of antiviral therapy in patients with viral hepatitis B. Considering that immunization with
native autoleukocytes has no contraindications, it can be used in many diseases.

The pathophysiological mechanisms responsible for male subfertility/infertility caused by or complicated by genital heat stress remains unclear in many respects. Because seminal plasma creates the environment for the proper functioning of spermatozoa, in this study, we verified the associations among standard spermiograms, seminal biochemical parameters (neutral alpha-glucosidase, fructose, and citric acid) and oxidative stress markers (total antioxidant capacity, catalase activity, superoxide dismutase activity, and malondialdehyde concentration) in distinct entities associated with male infertility with and without long-time exposure to local hyperthermia. We demonstrated that men exposed to prolonged environmental or clinically recognized local heat stress in adulthood may suffer from dysregulation of seminal antioxidant components, which can be directly associated with epididymal and prostate function. The comparative analysis of the studied parameters showed numerous correlations among all biochemical parameters (particularly neutral alpha-glucosidase) with low standard semen quality in almost all the investigated infertile groups. In light of the data obtained in this originally designed study, we conclude that more attention should be paid to the epididymis and accessory gland function in subfertile and infertile men exposed to genital heat stress, especially in the context of novel treatment algorithms (targeted therapies).
The term «lymphatic malformations» (LMs) refers to a wide spectrum of disorders with clinical manifestations that can vary from asymptomatic to life-threatening. LMs are most frequently found in the head and neck, accounting for up to 75 % of all cases [1]. Head and neck LMs result in airway compression, a dangerous complication requiring a tracheostomy, and significant cosmetic deformities [16]. According to a Japanese group of authors, up to 14 % of head and neck LMs can extend to the superior and anterior mediastinum, which increases the risk of airway obstruction [1, 16]. The incidence of abdominal and thoracic LMs is up to 20 % [2] 5 % and 6 % for each type [3], respectively. In some cases, they may be asymptomatic and incidentally diagnosed during a medical examination for other reasons. In 90 % of cases, LMs are diagnosed in pediatric patients by the age of 2 years due to clinical symptoms [3], some of which require urgent medical care. Other life-threatening complications of extensive vascular malformations may be associated with coagulation disorders [4].
