Vitiligo and alopecia areata are chronic autoimmune skin diseases in which autoimmune disorders and
psychoemotional stress play a key role in pathogenesis. SARS-CoV-2 infection is associated with systemic
immune dysfunction and a pronounced inflammatory response, which may act as a trigger for the onset
or exacerbation of autoimmune dermatoses. In routine clinical practice, an increasing number of patients
with vitiligo and alopecia areata have been observed following laboratory-confirmed COVID-19,
highlighting the relevance of this study.

Increasing incidence of dermatosis at the background of reduced immunological response to the impact
of exo- and endogenous pathogenic agents dictate the necessity of a more profound research of the
problem. In addition, antibiotic and immunosuppressive therapy led to activation of saprobic and
conventionally pathogenic microflora which is believed to play a prevalent role in the development of
dermatosis and, in particular, psoriasis.
Purpose of the research was to study profile of epidermal microflora on the skin of psoriatic patients and
especially on the affected areas in order to determine its impact on the development and course of
psoriasis.

The trace element imbalance is reflected in the condition and appearance of hair, which in its
composition have the following essential elements: nitrogen, sulfur, phosphorus, zinc, sodium, calcium,
magnesium and copper. The attention of many researchers is drawn to the hypothesis of the influence of
exogenous and endogenous factors on the functional state of the hair, especially essential and toxic
trace elements that cause dryness and thinning

The herpes simplex virus (HSV) may be not only a nosological disease but also a secondary infection
which may affect the severity of the course of other dermatoses.
On time diagnostic's and proper therapy of the psoriasis progression help related specialists prevent
occurrence of such diseases. Therefore, the goal of our research is to provide comprehensive
examination of the persons suffering from psoriasis, especially those with the severe or atypical course of
the disease, in order to detect herpetic infection and improve further treatment of these patients.

Psoriasis is one of the most common chronic, non-communicable, immune-mediated skin diseases,
affecting over 125 million people worldwide. The means and dosage forms of topical therapy depend
usually on the clinical course pathological process. In recent years, both in the world and in Ukraine,
narrowband UVB phototherapy of psoriasis, because of its efficiency, safety and availability has become a
technique of choice in the treatment of psoriasis patients with different clinical course. NB UVB therapy
method is self-contained and can be used as monotherapy, but combination of emollient, in our view,
adds treat certain advantages. The aim of our study was to examine and evaluate the effectiveness of this
method phototherapy combination of emollient in the treatment of psoriasis.
